I love the needle. It looks like one of those bone needles you see when you wander into the "early brass age" wings of the natural history museum.
It is nice to see that you and Elder Van Dyke share the same amount of skill when it comes to sewing. You can claim you took home ec., but we all know you were too busy drawing.
That's not the reason guys took home ec. in high school. It's because the boy to girl ration was about 2 to 30. And those boys might have been made fun of by other guys but they sure got a lot of attention from the rest of the home ec. class.
