Social Media

You know what would be great? If some funny Mormon had a Twitter account where he or she tweeted in the voice of famous Book of Mormon characters. Right now I'm too lazy to see if anyone has already done this, but if any of you are aware of something, let me know.

With a gag like today's, the obvious thing would be to announce my entrance into the word of tweeting and invite you all to follow me there, but that's not happening. Instead I'll remind you of the Mormon Cartoonist Fan Club page on Facebook.

(Incidentally, I was hoping to upgrade the fan club page to automatically link every post from this blog, but after several frustrating hours on Facebook, I gave up (curse you Mark Zuckerberg). If any of you think you might know how to do that, could you please drop me an email and we'll talk? Thanks.)

  2. Thanks, Anonymous. But it looks to me like that instruction is for a personal page. What I want to do is link my posts to the Fan Page, which, you'd think wouldn't be too difficult.

Nevertheless, at the risk of offending those people who purport to be my friends, I've done it.

  3. I can't wait to see how many other cartoons get the label: I haven't seen the social media....

    Really funny comic.

  4. Arie I think we could do this but we would have to create a new page. When I created the group it was before there were "celebrity pages" that you could "like". The only thing then was groups which are now outdated. I just looked and it doesn't seem like there is a way to update the group to a page. I think these pages work just like a profile page so you could link it up. This would mean that we would have to get everyone to switch from the group to "liking" the page. If you want to do that we can, just let me know. We might lose a few people along the way.

  6. 140 characters to express my thoughts?? So much for "and it came to pass."

  7. Ether visited today. Told me to repent or I'd be the last of the Jaredites. What a crackpot!
