When I started this website way back in 2009 it was at the behest of my then-publisher. Back in those days, blogs were all the rage and my publisher was convinced that an online presence was the key to selling lots of books. (Despite publishing exclusively to the Latter-day Saint public, the guy sure didn't understand Latter-day Saints' buying habits.)
As a result, I've tried my hardest to make this website as welcoming to as many people as possible. Well, now that I don't have any Latter-day Saint themed publications in the horizon, I'm ready to get a little wild! Moving forward, I'll now publish Monday Mayhem every Monday and continue publishing the Comic of the Week on Thursdays.
To start, I'm publishing something that might offend a large portion of the Church; namely, those Saints who start their talks with the phrase, "For those of you who don't know me..." I've made it my goal to rid the Church of this overused cliché. To that end, I've prepared dozens of gags highlighting the ridiculousness of this speaking crutch. Here's the first of those gags. Please share these strips far and wide. Together we can end FTOYWDKM* for good!
Future weeks will include other odds and ends, including caption contests, sketches from my art pad, and anything else I might come up with. It should be fun. And if not, who cares? It's not like your going to stop buying the books you haven't bothered to buy yet anyway.
*For those of you who don't know me.

I'm looking forward to mayhem!
ReplyDeleteThere was a young man in our ward who introduced himself to those who didn't know him as an outstanding musician, scholar and athlete. He was a spiritual giant, and volunteered at the animal shelter to save puppies. "And for those who do know me," he continued, "Shhhh! Don't tell them!"
