"Bear" Testimony
This might be the pinnacle of Latter-day Saint dad jokes. (At least, as far as I have contributed to the subcategory.) I can't say I'm proud.
The panda bear sits in the bishop's seat in honor of Tom, my favorite stuffed animal growing up.

Ancient Israel Stand Up Comedy
Given the level of of joke writing on this website, it was only a matter of time before I returned to the hackiest stand up comedian in all of ancient Israel. And, after reading the account of Elijah and the Priests of Baal again, I'm convinced that Elijah would have made a pretty good insult comedian if that whole prophet thing didn't work out.

Yet Another Night of Open Mic in Ancient Israel
Several months ago, I published a gag featuring the worst stand up comedian in all of ancient Israel. Today I'm bringing him back. What does it say about me that I thoroughly enjoy coming up with these groan-worthy "jokes"? I'm serious, I think I might have missed my calling in life. If I had been born eighty years earlier, I might have been Henry Youngman or Milton Berle. And if I'd been born 3,080 years earlier, I might have been the guy featured in today's comic.

Open Mic
Sometimes when I'm working on potential material for this website, I'll come up with an idea that is so insipid, so lame that it doesn't even meet the standards of this blog!*
Today's "jokes" are the groan-worthy type you'd expect to find on a Laffy Taffy wrapper.** Except instead of running away from that fact, I'm running toward it. Think of it like a sailboat tacking into the wind. The result is something I'm kind of proud of.
*A pretty low bar, I know.
**That may not be fair to Laffy Taffy jokes.

The Patient of Job
Today's gag is another play on words. While Job's patience is unmatched in scripture, I sure wouldn't want to be his patient.
It's Thanksgiving (at least here in the U.S.) and I want to express my gratitude for all of you who visit this little website. I get a kick out of every comment, every note, and every mention. I really enjoy posting these silly, little comics and I am so grateful that you enjoy them too.

Hunting Prey
For the second week in a row, I'm using my newly created label "Groan-worthy Play on Words." If I'm honest with myself, I probably should have been using it for years now.

Help Meet, er, Meat
Barbeque season (along with Summer, unofficially) starts this weekend--making today's gag particularly timely.
