Boy Scout Camp

Over the years The New Era has published a number of Boy Scout themed gags from me (including this one). Scouts are an easy target--messy, disorganized, dirty, lazy, hungry, silly, etc. Of course, they're also trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind...

I might not remember how to tie a square knot, but I still remember the Scout Law.

  2. Ahh, fond memories of scouting. Do you remember the time at Camp Maple Dell where some scouts convinced another scout that if he was strong enough he could hold himself up in the air by sitting on a stick and holding the ends?

  3. I think going with you, my dad and brother to the Boy Scout National Jamboree at Fort AP Hill was my best scouting experience.

Jon's Dad was a heck of a Scout Master.

Most of the scout gags I've drawn have included an exasperated Scout Master. It takes a special kind of man to put up with a troop full of 12 and 13-year-old boys.
