A Balanced Meal

When I was a missionary, the Church gave all of us a 2-year supply of multivitamins in the MTC. Given my diet, those vitamins (along with a generous helping of missionary blessings) were the only thing that kept me alive.

(Elder Van Dyke finally gets a baptism over at!)

  1. Since I posted this a couple of days ago, I've been racking my brain trying to remember the name of the vitamins we were given as missionaries. This morning it came to me: Stewart Formula Vitamins.

I'm pretty sure the Church doesn't give missionaries multivitamins anymore--too many of them were ending up in the MTC air vents, but they worked for me.

  2. Back in the day, we got a two year supply of only one thing. No purse, no scrip, no vitamins -- just a gamma shot that was thick enough and big enough that it took two years to pass through one's system!
