Airplane Flight

Today's strip is one that I'm fairly certain hasn't appeared on this blog. It was, however, featured in the Deseret News some time ago (hence the use of color). It's tracking Elder Van Dyke as he leaves the MTC and arrives in Laputania. Any missionary who has served as far away as Europe (traveling from the Provo MTC) knows all to well what the missionaries are going through in this one.

  1. Never in my life have I been as sleepy as I was on the morning I arrived in Vienna at age 19. You could cut and paste my photo into this comic and it would be a completely accurate historical record of my experience. I've since traveled to Europe many times over the last 30 years and have never suffered jet lag like that (I think the older you get the easier it is to handle). Thankfully our mission president allowed us to sack out for a few hours before he did his orientation.
