Your April 2025 General Conference Activity Packet

I've had talk opening jokes bomb. I've felt the same way as this poor guy does.

General Conference is nearly upon us. Which means it is time to print off your General Conference Activity Packet! I realize there are dozens of packets available for you to choose from, but there is only one packet that is endorsed by the Ward Cartoonist! (That should count for something, right?)

Download your copy in either English, Spanish (thanks to Gaby Herrera for the translation), or Portuguese (thanks to Dani Queiroz de Souza for the translation).

If the conference packet isn't enough to sate your appetite for Church-themed activities to entertain your young (or young at heart), Let me direct you to an assortment of my books:
For those of you uninterested in print, check out my apps (iOS only, sorry!). Your kids will love LDS Scripture Heroes or Book of Mormon Adventure available at the Apple App Store.

Finally, I should mention Mission Daze, my collection of nearly 500 comic strips tracking a missionary from mission call to homecoming. It's a great gift for any missionary.

Your October 2022 General Conference Activity Packet

I served my mission in the future basketball hotbed of Slovenia. There were signs even then that this tiny, little country might someday produce one of the world's best basketball players. Losing to chain-smoking Slovenes in pickup basketball games was not an uncommon experience.

General Conference is just around the corner. It's time to start thinking about how you are going to entertain your easily distracted. Might I suggest the Ward Cartoonist General Conference Activity Packet? This year the packet is available in English, Portuguese (thanks to the translation work of Dani Queiroz de Souza), and Spanish (thanks to the translation work of Gabi Herrera).

And while we're at it, check out the other resources available on this website.

The Ward Cartoonist Activity Page Newsletter is sent to inboxes every Friday morning. It includes a fun, new activity page every week for you to print off and share with your little ones. The newsletter is ideal for parents, grandparents, or primary teachers. Sign up for the free newsletter here.

You'll definitely want to check out the Old Testament Come, Follow Me Activity Book--with an activity page or two for each Come, Follow Me lesson covered in 2022. Also consider the Super Sunday Activity Book, the Scripture Power Activity Book, Now That I am Baptized: A Puzzle Book for LDS Kids, and the Puzzle Book for LDS Kids. Your October 2021 General Conference Activity Packet

Let me be clear: I don't agree with Elder Steele at all when it comes to his assessment of girls. Not to get too mushy here, but I just happened to marry a woman that checks all of those boxes.

General Conference is mere days away! To help prepare for it, once again I'm publishing a General Conference Activity Packet. It's available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French. (Thanks, as always, to Gaby Herrera, Dani Queiroz de Souza, and Sara Mayer!)

In addition to the conference packet, I want to make sure you are aware of all the other resources available on this website.

The Come, Follow Me Activity Page Newsletter is sent to inboxes every Friday morning. It includes an activity page specifically designed with that week's Come, Follow Me lesson in mind. The newsletter is ideal for parents, primary teachers, or anyone who wants to add a little fun to their Come, Follow Me curriculum. Sign up for the free newsletter here.

I've got a number of books in print full of pages and pages of activities to entertain the young and young at heart for hours. Consider the Super Sunday Activity Book, the Scripture Power Activity Book, Now That I am Baptized: A Puzzle Book for LDS Kids, and the Puzzle Book for LDS Kids. Your October 2020 General Conference Activity Packet

We are just under two weeks before General Conference which means you're going to be wanting to get your hands on the Fall 2020 General Conference Activity Packet. Well, dear reader, you've come to the right place. It is available in English, Spanish (translated by the talented Gaby Herrera), Portuguese (translated by the talented Dani Queiroz de Souza), and French (translated by the talented Sara Mayer).

You'll also want to subscribe to the Come, Follow Me Weekly Activity Page Newsletter.  Your subscription will get you an activity page in your inbox every Friday morning that corresponds to the scheduled Come, Follow Me lesson for the week. It is perfect for your little ones (and some of your big ones too). It is also completely free.

If you're looking to send some money my way, you could always order one of my books. I'd start with the Scripture Power Activity Book and then move from there to the Activity Book for LDS Kids or Now That I am Baptized next. Or you could pre-order my latest: Super Sunday Activity Book (use promo code PRE15 to save 15%). Finally, if you are looking for a book along the lines of the comic strips I feature on this website, consider purchasing Mission Daze--it's a collection of nearly 500 strips tracking the misadventures of a missionary from mission call to homecoming. It's the perfect gift for the missionary in your life.

If you have an Apple product, you might be interested in downloading one of my apps. LDS Coloring Book, LDS Scripture Heroes, or Book of Mormon Adventure are all fantastic products.

And, if that wasn't enough. You can also find me on the Come, Follow Me with David Ridges podcast this week as I guest host the lesson on 3 Nephi 12-16.

(Phew, that's enough self-promotion for a while!)

Melchizedek Priesthood Interview

Believe me, if this were an actual requirement to receive the Melchizedek Priesthood, I'd still be a Priest. Thank heavens for spell checkers, my life as a complete non-speller is so much easier now that most communication takes place on a computer.

Thanks to the good folks at Cedar Fort, I'm very excited to announce my latest publication: Scripture Power Activity Book is 60 pages of puzzles covering the Bible, Book of Mormon, and the Doctrine and Covenants and Church history. It is a lot of fun and at $6.99, it's not going to break the bank. The official release date is Tuesday, September 10, but you can preorder now.

Cheat Codes

For those of you not familiar with the term, "cheat codes" are the collection of instructions spelling out what a gamer must do to overcome obstacles and navigate mazes in order to complete a video game. Some gamers reject cheat codes out of hand and would rather figure out everything on their own, but the majority of folks playing video games, I suspect, have no problem searching out a cheat code from time to time.

Of course, in real life the stakes are infinitely higher and the path infinitely harder to find on one's own. That's why everyone should be drawing on life's cheat codes.*

*The scriptures. I'm talking about the scriptures.
