This joke only works up to the first nine digits of pi. Digits 10 through 12 are 3-5-9 which don't quite make it into the current Hymnbook (we stop at 341). Hence the lack of a rest hymn.
It was also critical that I posted this book before the Church replaces the old Hymnbook with a new one since who knows what the numbering is going to look like with that.

Those songs would be How Gentle God's Commands (Women), Now the Day is Over for the sacrament and Arise, O God, and Shine.
ReplyDeleteOr if they didn't have to be three-digit numbers, it could have been Now Let Us Rejoice, Jesus the Very Thought Of Thee for the sacrament, Come O Thou King of Kings as a rest hymn and then the same Arise O God and Shine as the closing hymn.
Nice work. I really hope some Bishopric is paying attention for Sunday, March 14, 2027.
DeleteThis is classic. I love the look of the bishopric. They are unified in their vision!
ReplyDeleteI thought you might like this one since Pi Day is kind of your think (to the point where I had to search your archives to make sure you hadn't already done this).
