Silent Note Taking
I seriously doubt Santa is coordinating with angels when it comes to his naughty/nice list--at least the Latter-day Saint version of angels. Santa's judgement strikes me more as a classic Christian heaven/hell delineation and not the many degrees of glory Latter-day Saint theology teaches.
On the other hand, maybe Santa's judgement is more like revealed doctrine than I originally postulated. After all, how many kids do you know that end up with coal on Christmas?
Today's gag is featured in the December issue of For the Strength of Youth.

Gingerbread Baptism
Snacks would be provided at this baptism.
Today's gag is from the fruitful mind of faithful reader Spencer V.

Home for Christmas without Teeth
I've told this story before, but my trainer would crack the "joke" every time we'd see a plane that it was about 2 years away for me. I never threatened bodily harm, though, because he had four inches and 50 pounds of muscle on me. Clearly, his constant joking deeply hurt since this is the second time I've come up with a gag based around it.

Angels' Other Gigs
Chutzpah is the Yiddish word that best describes what's going on here.
Serious question from someone who has been told more than once that he lacks any kind of musical pitch, are there other jobs for the heavenly hosts other than singing hallelujah? I don't even play a horn or harp. I worry that cartooning is not a skill that is in high demand.

Caroling No More
It used to be that when Latter-day Saint missionaries would congregate and sing on the street, people would ask if they were part of the Tabernacle Choir. Now days, they are as likely to be asked if their part of a touring company of The Book of Mormon: The Musical.

Make It Stop
Perhaps, dear reader, you are as tired of this particular storyline as this shopper is of the missionary carolers. If so, don't worry. It will all be over soon.

The Hard to Shop For Recipient
Wasn't Conference great? If you need to review what was said, check out Kevin Beckstrom's General Conference notes. They are, as always, fantastic.

Check Before You Eat
It occurs to me some 20 years after drawing this strip that it could have been funnier had Elder Austin replied after learning the true nature of the gingerbread and while taking another bite, "Eh, still tastes better than most of stuff we get at dinner appointments."

Fruits of Their Labor
As a missionary, I had my Mom ship me corn syrup in a care package so I could make our investigators a number of different treats. Fortunately, for them, my peanut brittle turned out much, much better. (Also, you know I'm old when I admit to making peanut brittle--sheesh.)
