Here's a deep thought for you to ponder as you prepare for General Conference.
And speaking of General Conference, here's a little programming note for the half dozen of you who care: For the first time in six and a half years, I won't be producing a General Conference recap packet this conference. I've got a crazy busy schedule on the days immediately following General Conference and there is no possible way I can get to it. Thanks for your understanding.

Your April 2016 General Conference Activity Packet
Would you look at that, it's a missionary strip that isn't twenty years behind in technology! (Although, those Elders would probably be emailing off their iPads and not desktops--dang!)
In addition to the packet, let me also encourage you to take advantage of the Mormon Cartoonist Activity Page Newsletter. The newsletter is delivered to your inbox every Friday and includes a printable activity page for use during sacrament meeting, Family Home Evening, primary, or General Conference. It's completely free!
There are also a number of iOS apps to assist parents of youngsters to make conference more bearable. Please consider downloading LDS Coloring Book, LDS Laughs, LDS Scripture Heroes, and the Book of Mormon Adventure App on your iProducts.
Or if apps aren't your thing, you can always buy the Puzzle Book for LDS Kids or Now That I am Baptized at most LDS bookstores.

Daylight Savings Trifecta
I don't know about you, but this year's daylight savings move forward has been particularly tough on me. I've felt sleep deprived all week (fortunately, not so sleep deprived to come up with today's gag). I'm counting down days until I can claim back the hour stolen from me in the fall.

Zone Conference
As a missionary I loved zone conferences. Our Mission President would come visit us and we'd spend several hours receiving great instruction and motivation to go out and continue doing the work. Of course, you might have a different view of zone conferences if you were the one who had to prepare the instruction.

Allegory of the Olive Tree
Last week it was the end of 2 Nephi, today it's Jacob. My scripture reading continues par for the course.

Airplane Flight
Today's strip is one that I'm fairly certain hasn't appeared on this blog. It was, however, featured in the Deseret News some time ago (hence the use of color). It's tracking Elder Van Dyke as he leaves the MTC and arrives in Laputania. Any missionary who has served as far away as Europe (traveling from the Provo MTC) knows all to well what the missionaries are going through in this one.

Understanding Isaiah
"...In the days that the
prophecies of Isaiah shall be fulfilled men shall know of a surety, at
the times when they shall come to pass.
"Wherefore, they are of worth
unto the children of men, and he that supposeth that they are not, unto
them will I speak particularly, and confine the words unto mine own people; for I know that they shall be of great worth unto them in the last days; for in that day shall they understand them; wherefore, for their good have I written them."
