Binging General Conference

With 196 season, there might be more General Conference content than the Simpsons (but probably not all the various Law and Order shows).

Today's gag was featured in the April For the Strength of Youth magazine.

Follow the Prophet

Today's gag comes from one of my children's favorite scripture stories: that of Elisha calling on two she bears to maul 42 kids for making fun of his receding hairline.* I wrote about this story on this blog once before and, in my opinion, it might be some of the best stuff I've written on this website. This weekend is General Conference. These bears will follow the prophet their way, you follow it your way (and if it is any help at all, check out the Ward Cartoonist General Conference Activity Packet).

*Their other favorite scripture story is the one with the talking donkey (which we are all read in the voice of Eddie Murphy). Yeah, we're proud of the righteous generation we're raising!

Prophets Not Profits

This is one of my favorite strips I've ever done. I love the fact that the guy is so muddled that he even quotes the scripture wrong. Honestly, I like this one so much, I'm not sure how I came up with it. (Proof that even a blind squirrel can find a nut once in a while, I guess.)

All this online schooling that we've inflicted upon our children these past six months have likely prepared them for General Conference. Spending two hours at a time looking at an adult lecture to them--no problem!
